My name is Karen Holden. I was born September 8, 1978 in Tacoma, Washington at Madigan Army Hospital. I lived most of my life in Washington State, except for the three years my mom, dad, sister (older sister Elisabeth) and I lived as missionaries in the Philippines. I was eight when we moved there. It was an exciting adventure I usually share in my classroom stories!
Five years ago I moved to Orlando, Florida. I had just completed my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education at Washington State University (Go Cougs!!) and my parents had moved here to work for the mouse. I completed my first year of teaching at Celebration K-8 in the 5th grade. After that I moved to PM Wells Charter Academy and taught 5th grade and 3rd grade. I moved on from PM Wells to Orange county for a year and a half where I taught 5th grade, and 2nd grade.
When I'm not teaching, I work for the mouse at Typhoon Lagoon. I enjoy Kyaking and anything outdoors! I am an avid baseball watcher and root for the Seattle Mariners, and the Boston Red Sox! Don't get me started about how I feel about the Yankees!
